If you think it was the wild west in any of the 2000s, you have nooooo idea. Werent any sherrifs back then. I think i paid for one game ever. Still ended up with 4 shoeboxes of 5.25 floppies. Got a whole puncher? Double sided now!

Early teen at the time, I spent a lot of time studying phreaking/hacking/etc. Mom noticed, and very politely informed me "you can study that all you want; if you ever DO it, you'll never touch a computer again." With a smile, the subject was dropped, & I dug into embedded systems

#s from trashing. Have it shipped via UPS red label. Arrival by 10am. Deliver to an open house (just take the sign down). Sign fake name. Wait 10 minutes for them to leave. Sign back up. Bicycle off with new stuff. :) - Show replies
