It's only ethically bad in that you don't improve your skillset. Applied to goblin slaying: yes, you're killing goblins, but you could be killing more goblins in new and interesting ways.

Camping is ethically OK when the game mechanics allow it. Rather than a single respawn point, the game should have a respawn zone that randomizes each time. A baseball manager can dislike the DH rule, but if it's in effect, put a DH in his lineup. No hypocrisy there.

I find it ethically objectionable to the extent the goal of a given game is to have fun and the camping unbalanced enough to cause less fun for other players, ASSUMING the game doesn't provide a hard counter to campers. But this concern goes away with NPC's, sooooo...

It's a little frowned on in casual play, but if a competitive arena allows it, you get what you signed up for. The stuff with Nowrasteh... uh, seems more like the 'wrestle a pig' is a little more prominent, and you know more about that than I.

1/ I have thoughts: Depends on the situation. If camping is the result of a map imbalance or other situation where one is party is severely disfavored due to circumstances beyond their control, it is unethical.

Not really camping if you advance to his position and beat him over the head with his own numbers, but always entertaining!

He should be spawn-camped until he plays another game, because he's really bad at this one. Just think of all the honest work he could otherwise be doing when he isn't lying and twisting numbers to suit his warped worldview.

It can be a dick move, but there's nothing unethical about it. Most good games provide ways to escape from being camped, or to turn the tables on the camper.

Dishonorable, but ethically neutral because game mechanics allow it. Really makes me mad, though, when the jerks make my little gamer girls cry. Yes, spawn campers, you make adorable little girls cry. Does that make you happy?
