This is a massive simplification, to the point of being wrong. All races are bell curves, and the bell curve of race A overlaps that of B (for all A and B). Further, a given member of race A can be raised in different cultures and take on those different cultures. https://t.co/h4DsX8qiqP

True, but beliefs & values are heritable. Meaning they undergo regression to the mean, same as IQ. Meaning even if a 1st-gen. immigrant assimilates well (holds same cultural beliefs & values), chances are a 2nd gen. won't, unless they come from a culture already similar to the US

you've now switched from "heritable" which means "correlated with parents" to "genetically inherited" There are many things that are heritable but not genetic. I inherited English from my parents; I did not revert to the mean of speaking Italian like my great-grand-parents

The practical point here is that the US couldn't even assimilate people from the same island without using penalties of kidnapping and sterilization. "just assimilate the immigrants lol" is both as politically difficult, and the same type of action, as "just annex Canada lol"

> "just assimilate the immigrants lol" I've never argued that. Look over my TL. I'm very much for restricting immigration.
