People are being stupid and ignorant about Elizabeth Warrn. Her test results are entirely consistent with her family story. tl;dr: She wasn't lying. It happens. For relevant scientific background, consult @razibkhan's TL today.

Not that I particularly care, but my assumption has always been that she had some NA ancestry, so having genetic proof of that doesn't change much. I've also assumed (perhaps wrongly?) that everyone else assumed the same.

I don't think most people are that smart, and there's an obvious flurry of goalpost-moving going on. (eg: everyone who read '6 to 10' and immediately turned into HUH HUH HUH 1/1024, fuck these people as much as the ones who turned 2%-41% into 2-10% into 2-8% into 'never')

GP I'm gonna ask a serious question here. Isn't media (whom we are supposed to unquestioningly believe as the arbiters of Truth) getting the story wrong worse than people relying on the media for the veracity of their claims? Or am I being too meta here?

I'm hating the goal-post moving by team red. "she doesn't have enough to be a recognized member of a tribe!!!!" she never said she did.
