2/ ...and I'd propose a (cultural) standard similar to the one around trade secrets. If you hand out the info for free, people can use it as they wish. If you try hard to secure it but someone ferrets it out, they can't.

3/ which is to say, if @skyrym_player_97 has "I work at Intel" in his bio, then he should be fired over bad PR. ...but if his opsec is good, but he once tweets a pix of his dog, and someone matches up the spots on another pic on Reddit then deduces his ID ... no, no firing.
