After lunch took a quick walk w wife around the grounds, to relax and enjoy life. Came across tools left out by farmhands. Put them away ... in garden shed, which is a disaster. Cleaned shed. Walked more. Found downed trees in random place. Found survey stakes tangled w string.

Anxiety levels (1-10 scale) have dropped from 35 to just 9. Rage levels still at 35. Farmhands are done for the season. I need a break before I stroke out. Have 5-6 must do tasks before winter; will do them myself.

as an example of what I mean about being "EXPLICITLY clear". I made the mistake of putting out 10 surveying stakes and then asking them to put an 11th pole midway in between 2 of them. They nailed the 10 where I put out stakes. It was the 11th they !@#-ed up. My bad.

Side note: Creating a society where being geographically mobile for work becomes *a necessity* really disadvantages people like this. Joe Dullard may eventually do quite well once he has a routine down. “New job every 2 years” is not a world he can live in.

You’re always going to have the motivated and the visionaries and the movers and shakers and bootstrappers who pack up and go where the opportunity is. That’s a good thing. Making a country where everyone MUST do that is unstable and insane.
