4/ When a Kickstarter says "$10 + $5 shipping", the price is listed up front. If you don't like it, don't pay. You don't get to gripe afterwards (or you do, but you don't get anyone to care). 5/ Also, producers have to deal with known unknowns, and unknown unknowns. I set shipping to .eu very high, because I wanted to be covered if there was some surprise tax I had to pay. If I set it low, and there was, would you the consumer fork over more $$$ to cover it? No.
