Yes. The role of “priest’s wife” in Orthodoxy is seen as a lifelong commitment by her also - and a decision to be made *after* the first flush of dating.

Yep. Same with deaconesses. Doing that when the unique gifts of gender are widely understood is a different thing than doing it when the overwhelming narrative being pushed is “we’re no different.”
