8/ Re electron degeneracy - that speaks to the Pauli Exclusion Principle (which is one reason that I'm quite attracted to the digital physics model - read books 3 and 4! ). It doesn't implicate movement per se. It implicates information.

yep My CS degree required 4 semesters of calc. ...which was terribly terribly taught. Failed a class once or twice. I think it took me 6+ semesters to get those 4 semesters done w good enough grades. Never used calc ONCE since graduating. :(
