The hugos were a real award - and very prestigious. Around 2010 or so - and certainly by 2013, when Scalzi won - they were devalued as organized voting by SJWs - led by Teresa Nielsen Hayden of Tor - started voting for inferior books based on politics and association w Tor.

Yeah, I'm not arguing that Scalzi writes the worst SF ever. His quality is ... fine. But it's not remotely Hugo-worthy (under the old standards)
