I've got a friend who lost a finger to one. Well, he lost two fingers. One to this. TECHNICALLY, he lost the same finger twice. ...or three times, depending on how you count. https://twitter.com/IL0VEthe80s/status/1034026847296729088 …

/ So Tom was ice skating, fell down, hands splayed out...and someone skated over his middle finger, at the last knuckle. Doctors re-attached it.

/ Then Tom (the class clown) was playing with a guillotine paper cutter, sticking his middle finger out, slamming the cutter down, and pulling his finger out at the last second. Did it successfully 10 times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT0epw9P7-o …

/ And then over the next week or two the finger tip started turning black. So the doctors took it off. 3 detachments, 2 reattachments. Tom made good use of it tho: he'd stick the stump up to his nostril, to make it look like he had a solid 1" up there.

/ He would also display it casually on the desk when we had a substitute teacher and then chant, just barely under his breath, "stump stump stump stump" to try to freak them out. It often worked.
