Something along these lines http://www.siouxsteel.com/index.php/products/category/feed-bins/ …. Low four figures - BUT - you might be able to find these used. Also you’d need an auger.

so $63k and I'm guessing ~$10k for slab? $73k for 5,000 ft^2 of shop barn space...ah, heaven.... In TX it's different, but in NE steel buildings say "industrial area", so not really compatible w gentleman farm (for resale purposes). Gives me the sads. :(

Me three.
@idprism - one can do a HECK of a lot of homesteading on 3-5 acres w a 2-bedroom house. Buy an old schoolbus or two (no engine necessary) and use them as barns or storage sheds...or buy used cargo containers cheap. Barter to borrow a neighbor's tractor. etc.3 replies 0 retweets 3 likes
In fact, the TYPICAL homesteader is working on a budget in the $100s, not the 100s of thousands.
@BrowningMachine and I are outliers, coming to it very late in our careers (both pushing 50, with DECADES of work and savings behind us).
Start small! Do great stuff!
