Just tried to go somewhere and the car wouldn't start. Starter spun, but didn't engage. Centrifugal clutch bad? Maybe. Research needed. Looks like I'm gonna be doing some wrenching soon...

2/ OK, this doesn't look too bad. $250 part, and the part store says they can deliver. Labor would be ~$300, towing to the shop would be $50+, and who knows when they'd fit me in. Fingers crossed I can do this tomorrow morning. http://www.hsguide.net/starter_repair_procedures-81.html …

3/ Wrenching complete. Car works. Due to my superior intellect and experience in the theoretical realm, what would have taken a mechanic 30 minutes, I did in merely 7 hours.
