5/ The child wants "heads I win, tails you lose" because the 5 year old brain is not mature enough to understand the long term benefit of rules. They want do-overs, they want to win every board game, etc.

6/ Why do (many) progs operate at level 2? It varies, case by case. I think some are intellectually and morally stunted and can't perceive the long-term benefit to themselves of having established rules and honest refereeing. ...and I think others are evil.

7/ Don't make the mistake, though, of thinking that all cons are better than all progs. There are immature children and evil PoS on both sides. E.g. cons who'd use state power to mandate sectarian prayers or criminalize flag burning.
