I cannot imagine how unless Larry was feeling really motivated and found somebody he really thought could fill Jerry's shoes. He, Larry, and Steve Barnes were well underway on a new Avalon novel when Jerry died. I'm not sure where that project is now. No Amazon release date.

If somebody wanted to do a book in homage to LH, I don't think anyone sane would be offended so long as it was good. Heck, it could be two or more books in adjoining universes. We can stop it, we can't stop it, we can make it less severe, etc.

It might be an interesting exercise if all these stories started off exactly the same but played out differently due to seemingly minor events or human whims. Say, an engineer takes a more lucrative job that removes him from the position where he could have critical input.
