Thickest 1” square tube I’ve ever seen is 1/4”. It’s gotta be .0625. Also if you want more ass to your welds and make em stronger, don’t cut the tube flush, cut it with a bevel.

Yea if I’m understanding you right. Just take a grinder and eyeball a 45 or so on your mating piece.

I but the horizontal straight into the vertical, then weld all around. Then I cut a diagonal, slap it next to the "L" I've just created, and weld it all around. Why outside, and not inside? Bc this lets me drop a piece of plywood onto the horizontal to create a shelf.

every time I build something I draw up plans w cut lists first, then afterwards store them in a 3-ring binder If I get a minute I'll dig up the plans for my TJIC Standard Shelf
