They're meant to be worn in clinical settings, they should be donned clean when entering the clinic and removed when soiled. Seeing them in public indicates carelessness about these issues. Could have blood/fluids on them, could be about to expose patients to outdoor soil.

100% this if you're wearing scrubs in public, either: * you are contaminating them before entering a medical situation * you are contaminating the public AFTER a medical situation * and/or the whole thing is a LARP / security theater
