1/ Farm hand negotiated $15/hr, up from $10 last year. Steep hike, but, OK, fine. Then he asks for $21. Negotiations broke down, and he's finishing current project then quitting.

4/ So I've got a plan. Either in a few weeks, or next spring, flyer goes up in hardware store + feed store: WANTED 20+ hr/week farm hand some fun work (driving riding mower + tractor), some crap work (mucking stalls, weeding) $13+/hr, depending on experience refs required
