damnit, someone asked me about my anvil, and I remember the brand, but not the weight BRB; OCD will not rest
Marked 154. Could be either pounds or hundred weight /quarter h.w. / lbs. Hay-Budden was an American maker, so if latter, then it would be short hundredweight (100) not English h.w. (112). So: either 154 or 100 + 125 + 4 = 229 lbspic.twitter.com/NIuf79BxuN

I could check my reference books (specifically "Anvils in America"), or take the anvil off the stump and hang it from the gantry crane using some chains and a meatpacking industry hanging scale I have...but I don't think I care that much.
