1/ ok. (and first - thanks for engaging in a discussion ; truly appreciate it) Let us imagine that there is some stance X, say "cops are often abusive". There is implicitly the opposite stance: "not X", i.e. "no, cops are almost NEVER abusive".

3/ So
@MorlockP and@LucyStag say "well, look, it doesn't matter if Manson said it; it's objective truth!" And then the bootlickers - who, in this hypothetical, control the media - run hundreds of articles: "Libertarians echo Charles Manson's words 'cops are often abusive' "2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -
Okay, I understand concept. Kind of like when I read Timothy McVeigh's little essay on government hypocrisy about violence and cringe horribly while finding nothing incorrect?

Okay, I get the idea. However, "most cops suck" and "government is bunch of hypocritical killers" are arguments. "We must secure the future for our white children" etc is a slogan, a mandate.

The 2nd one is a testable hypothesis. "cops suck" and "we must secure..." are both value statements. Cops only suck if you dislike unprovoked violence. "we must..." is true if you like western culture enough to preserve it as one option among others.

Testable? I dunno about that. Cops suck is vague, but cops commit x number of killings and y number are punished are things you can look at.

Still, there is a distinction between facts and values, we agree on that I'm sure. Like "cops kill X per year" is a fact, but "...and that is BAD !!!" is a value (that you and I share).

anyway, your "I am suspicious of people who say 'white pride' " is - arguably - an example of the motte-and-bailey propaganda being used effectively AGAINST you. We SHOULD dislike people w swastika tattoos shouting about "white pride". BUT ...

if that gets generalized into "blacks can have a cultural pride parade, hispanics can, Asians can, EVERYONE can....except one single group", doesn't that strike you as unfair ? Now, I don't want to have that parade myself...but it's legitimate to enjoy one's own culture, no?
