No. But you can call me by my last name. I've had many teachers, coaches, and friends who have done so. It's an entirely reasonable and civil compromise .

For the record, my stance has absolutely nothing to do w the validity of trans stuff, which I tentatively assume is a real thing. It is about what sort of compromise we can reach between people who disagree. Using a component of one's name (the last name) seems quite fair.

But this is the issue at hand: teacher WAS using last names, without "Miss" or "Mister". Just: "Smith, is your homework done? Jones, is yours?" for ALL students, M/F, cis/trans seems more than reasonable to me
