3/ but, yes, you're right: AKSHUALLY someone can punch someone else and that disproves my assertion of "monopoly" and you've TOTALLY owned me and my argument is invalid and now I feel bad for having used a phrase in its conventional usage as if I was communicating with humans

In that particular case, though, that was EXTREMELY relevant. The father could have chosen to use violence himself, thus not needing the state in any way, monopoly or not. As the father of two daughters, I find the idea of waiting for 13 months to punish their rapist to be nuts.
