I went with inoreader which is a good replacement but the internet is a walled garden these days. A lot of the feeds I curated have gone away in the last few years and I kind of organically stopped using it. I used to use it for local (small town Iowa) news, now I have nothing.

I used RSS to search for rare motorcycles on craigslist, but craigslist discontinued their RSS feed and nobody posts there anyway. Now it's all on Facebook Marketplace and I have to deal with people harassing me IRL to friend them on Facebook. The internet sucks now.

Feedly is a superb replacement. No gap in time or end of the good internet here.
