.@AliVelshi your friend Kevin Hassert talks about the fact that productivity needs to grow. How can that happen without demand? If more money isn't redistributed to middle class, demand for goods and services won't increase.

You can't increase productivity if there is no consumer of it. You can build all the cars and computers possible, but if the middle class has no money to buy, it won't matter. Corporations could increase productivity now, but there is no demand for it.

And that's a problem. I'm saying the solution America needs is higher wages which come with higher demand for goods and services. Hassett thinks tax cuts will increase productivity and wages. It won't. Profits will continue to go to dividends and CEOs.

I agree completely. This tax scam does nothing to impact wages. If they wanted to blow up deficit, job retraining and infrastructure investment would do a lot more for wages.

As more and more corporations merge, I've started thinking about wage stagnation as a form of price fixing. And that's against the law...

Well, minimum wage should be increased and if you need a million more widgets and as a result have to hire ppl with 4% unemployment, the only way you do that is by paying more.
