People have no idea most Chinese are taoist, not driven by materialism. Just as many do not understand Islamist actions and how they can do [evil] with infidels[unbelievers]. Selling drugs, booze, killing etc ... in the large global cities if it furthers end goals.

I'm well aware of princlings / politburo, inner city materialism. But majority of Chinese are taoist / farmers that do not look at materialism the same as westerners. Doing some research on Chinese history will help towards understanding construct.
