I'd also argue that the Chinese know a shit-ton more about "eating bitter" than any American...so the prospects of them folding in "trade war" are likely not good.

Last thing, then I'll shut up. In general, anyone in power in China has managed to survive a complex network of political intrigue that, if not negotiated properly, ends in jail or death. These guys are good. Outside of Mnuchin, USG lacks such talent.
