This is cool. Only works though because the drivers collect the fees - they have more autonomy and control. Wouldn't work in NY where you get tickets from an independent card system.

Oh yes it's a cult classic there, I've seen it. Btw in Hungary often they don't really check tickets even when there is no strike. It's a de facto honour system.
