My big regret - should’ve done physics instead of economics (in addition to CS). Econ past micro was useless. Physics is indeed foundational.
I was a math and econ double major at naval's Alma mater. Econ was useless (except micro and game theory). Theoretical Math was also useless outside of teaching me how to think with exactness and precision and any comp sci exposure it gave me.
