I'm pretty sure it's illegal actually. Whenever foreign ers change their living quarters this info must be reported to the local police bureau. Airbnb does not do that.
I think they’re too big to do “illegal” stuff. Plus they have government relations person on the team.
Airbnb is not necessarily the party breaking the law, but the host and the guests are. It's like craigslist. They are not breaking the law by hosting prostitution ads.
