Great thread. Im very sympathetic to its viewpoint. That said, the Chinese national students who were admitted to my college were among the brightest we had (though some were 4 years too old).
Our valedictorian was a Chinese national who finished her (!) math finals in 1/3rd the time of the next fastest student. It was staggering.
