just priced WeWork - it is significantly more expensive than competitors, even for just a seat at an open desk! My guess is people use WeWork because they are not aware others exist (kudos to WeWork for marketing the hell out of themselves as the supposed coolest place to work)?
Yeah, WeWork is overpriced, for sure. It may work, sort of because: 1. Brand 2. Locations. Go to London for 3 days. Work at the local wework for free. 3. Mostly, it's not the customers' money being spent. It's their investors' or their employers'. Not a lot of price sensitivity.

1 seems to be a real thing, but I have a hard time understanding why (I'm a Regus user). on 2, WeWork has far, far fewer locations than Regus. I can use Regus just about anywhere internationally, and i've used it in random US cities Orland Park, IL & St Petes, FL

I think Regus is overpriced as well so I'm not sure it's a good comparison re: pricing. WeWork has more locations than any local competitor, that's the comparison. Good to keep in mind that Regus owns Spaces, which has a similar millenial startup spirit.
