This strikes me as the relevant sentence in the #MemoDay release.
A debunked dossier was used to spy on Trump advisor, but it's not clear to what extent that dossier was the major impetus for granting the spying. Until that is shown, this is far from a smoking gun.pic.twitter.com/WBcQ6hl2Cv

It's relevant because FBI didn't verify the Dossier. FISA court would be making decision based of the full application. Doesn't matter if it was 1% of the reason.
