A group's average is different from the individual members of a group. If people understood this better, not only would there be less racism/sexism/homophobia/etc, but there would be fewer false accusations of it.

Discussing differences between groups in the U.S. is too controversial and risky for most people, even when it is fully backed by good science. If we cannot discuss the problems and gaps, it will be even more challenging to bridge them, if it's even possible.
