This paper says more than one might think on first read.
It's a cool topic but this paper feels pointless. Industry knowledge, connections, and IQ are obviously ingredients for success in an industry. Forget the dinner table, its also true for the employee's desk.

I just noticed this reply. At the risk of being selfish, what does it say that I didn't mention? To your point, yes, the paper's likely conclusions aren't revelatory to me because I already know the answer and to many others that may not be the case. Good point.
