Got my employee in China a U.S. business visa. First time visitor and he got 10 years, multiple entry, 6 month stays. Is that typical?

I never had a USA business visa (I always entered under ESTA or work visa). 6 months in a row or altogether for the 10 years? With that in mind i'd say that's probably typical. The real difference is whether you can be employed directly by USA company or not.
