Maybe not because he's an idiot. But every single opinion he's expressed on the Middle East for 20 yrs has been proven wrong.
I don't have a view on MBS, though he does seem...sort of reform-y. KSA did just allow women to drive right? To your point, even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut.
