      Warren didn't buy Intel, but Berkshire (not necessarily Warren) bought Apple and IBM recently.

      It's debateable whether that was due to changes in IBM and Apple or changes in WB. Also, he has very few options in public markets now

      You could be right, but quite a few years for evidence of the entrenchment and repeat customers of the iPhone in 2016 vs say in 2010

          I think reason it made the cut is the component of "cutting edge tech" arguable grew less important. Predictability of annuity is up.
