As far as I know insurance in NY state is much more expensive than elsewhere (don't know why).
My federally mandated health insurance plan's monthly premium is rising from $189 to $429 and the deductible is rising from $6850 to $7150.

Yes. I got a letter saying my old plan (catastrophic) would no longer be available to me and that I'd have to upgrade to a new one (bronze).
