I agree. I can't think of anyone who's powerful but doesn't virtue signal, besides those rich people who never appear in interviews or on tv

Question for you: are the rich people who appear on tv indulging themselves or does it meaningfully increase opportunities?

I think the drive is most prob the 2nd. Not sure whether it actually increases but at least they think (maybe consciously) that it does.
