What's the simplest yet most profound piece of wisdom you've ever gotten? I think mine was, "What you love and what you hate are usually the same thing." ex, What I love: "She's so outgoing and friendly!" What I hate: "She never has time for me because of her busy social life!"

Yeah I find those people a little harder to identify but they seem to generally reveal their true nature in some way or another (thanks, the Greater Internet Dickwad Theory)
At least with the guy who’s a dick to the waiter you know what you’re getting. With the guys who are fake nice to the staff you really need to be careful.
