I don’t think we’ll get a vaccine for covid. - we have no vaccines for any other coronavirus and we’ve tried - other coronaviruses only grant short-term immunity from infection - increasing reports of people getting reinfected - the body’s covid antibody response is temporary

I saw a convincing case recently that occurred several months later, but I do not know whether the person in question had any immunological impairments. Prior to that, I had not seen any plausible examples at all. I think it is still very rare.

T cell responses from patients with SARS-CoV1 showed cross immunity to SARS-CoV2 after 17 years. Looking like T cell immunity is long lasting.

How'd they test for that? In vitro right? Hard to ask someone who had Sars to agree to get covid, no?
