We all know someone who is really capable in one domain but is mess in the rest of their life. Does anyone know someone who is really good in two non-overlapping domains and a mess in the rest of their life? Good in three disparate domains with a messy life?

I had a high school classmate who was genius in Mathematics and Literature. But he lacked the basic understanding of life, didn't have any communication skill. He didn't even go to college and just disappeared.

Toby YoungVerified account @toadmeisterHas anyone else noticed that the people targeted for cancellation are, almost without exception, the smartest people in their field/profession? Same was true in Stalin’s Russia, China during the Cultural Revolution and Cambodia under Pol Pot. The mediocre hate the brilliant. https://twitter.com/joelpust/status/1279195476613632000 …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
There's too much going on here for me to have an opinion one way or another, i.e.: - smartest people tend to be top of field. rewards for cancelling top of field higher - smarter people more likely to hold nonconsensus opinions
