Well that was stupid but NY is still doing it 10x better than most of the USA.
They had 10x as many cases and 10x as many deaths, if not more, so it's hard to say they're somehow performing above average. Yes, more population but also higher rate of cases per capita. Virus wise, BLM NYC was just as stupid as everywhere else.
Yes NY was hit first and hardest but I'm talking about the policies passed like mandating masks in public. And cases haven't gone up since BLM here. Maybe they will but it's been more than a month.
Wave 2 will happen. How long it takes is dependent on so many factors that predicting the timing is a fools errand. Regardless of the current case, status allowing the protests was hypocrisy and stupid wrt transmission.
