Whatever precautionary principle could have been reasonable decades ago, isn't currently, with the monstrous amount of data we have disproving basically every single risk attributed to GMO. Besides, all produce we eat has been massively modified to suit our needs anyway
Good counterpoint. How many years have we been doing the genetic modifications in labs? Breeding for certain characteristics is different.
