I missed this last week, but the CA legislature voted to strike from the constitution: “The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin.” Let illiberalism reign
I haven’t read much about it but I suspect that this is designed to enable more affirmative action for some groups. If successful, it will probably have the net effect of making the university system less Asian. Making discrimination by race legal is horrendous, IMO.
