People attribute to conspiracy what is better explained by complex interactions of large numbers of people just acting in their own self-interest. I know a lot of old people who do this. Strange that they can reach old age without understanding societal mechanics.
I know some people who, because they've been *around* business for most of their lives think they understand how it works, but they don't.. Why? Because they never actually did it. This is why Taleb's skin in the game filtering is so powerful. It separates wheat from the chaff.
