No... HK was nearly destroyed last year by that meaningless riots... This law can at least provide some stability. Remember most of the Hkers didn't really support the street movement.

Yes and no. AFAICT there have only been protests and riots in Hong Kong like this when the PRC has tried to impose laws that are antithetical to the Hong Kong constitution. Yes, the riots were crazy and senseless, but there are solutions to that don't break the '97 deal.
