Fwiw, I went to a mostly white private school and we: - read the Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman - Had a yearly MLK concert where a bunch of white kids literally sang slave songs like "Follow the Drinking Gourd" - Learned about Harriet Tubman and the underground railroad

(I remember being confused for months, trying to figure out how she built a subway from the south to Canada) Anyways, I'm not really sure it did anything. Going to headstart programs and mixing with schools that were mostly black was more effective.
