I've always been fascinated by the founders who just seek out non-stop press coverage. Generally speaking, it does very little for your business. I just want to ask "what's wrong with you?"

They're not building their business, they're building their "personal brand." You only see this type of behavior amongst bootstrappers if they're new/green to the game. Exceptions would be products/services that depend or are helped tremendously by 24/7 publicity.

Short term help, this can also pigeon hole you into a very particular customer base, which you later can’t escape because people look at you sideways (at best).
