No the link you provided is incorrect. Greeks called barbarians those who couldn't speak Greek fluently, a sort of onomatopoeia related to stuttering (like bar-bar while talking). At least I was taught this

Yes, not sure if it was stuttering per se, or just mocking the sound of other langauges ('BARBARBARBAR' instead of 'DURDURDURDUR'). Basically they were calling them the 'Durdurians.'
